T, my housemates, and I are all huge fans of Derrick Comedy and had the pleasure of both seeing their full-length film, Mystery Team, and meeting three of the five members of the group (Dominic, DC, and Meggie) the other night. The movie was great, and if it ends up playing in your area you should definitely go see it. If not, they’ll be selling the DVD eventually.
Anyway, more on-topic, here’s one of their short sketches:
I feel like while it is hilarious, it also underlines the idea that communication with your partner(s) is extremely important, and that the “15 Moves That Will Drive Your Man Crazy In Bed” type articles in Cosmo or other magazines should probably not be read as a list of techniques you should spring on your partner without discussing them first. Just because you read it somewhere (or because a previous partner liked it) doesn’t mean that everyone will find it enjoyable!
That made me wince and giggle all at once!
