Big, sleek, and slightly curved, the Leo is hard to resist.  Add a removable vibrator, and you’ve got something really special.  I am such a lucky reviewer as PinkCherry.com sent me one to review!

What it is:

Leo is one of Vixen’s many 100% silicone toys.  At 7″ long and 1.5″ in diameter, he is no small-fry.  He has a flared base, making him great for strap-on play, and has a hole in the bottom where the included bullet vibrator can be inserted.

Leo is completely smooth, with slight ridges running lengthwise down both the anterior and posterior sides of his shaft.  Mine came in the Ivory color, which has beautiful iridescent veins running through it.  His head is sculpted semi-realistically, with a pulled-back foreskin sitting just under the coronal ridge for extra stimulation.  It even has a slight groove running along the bottom side, making this dildo more than suggestively phallic.

The bullet vibe is a standard, 3-watch-battery, one-speed bullet with an extra feature: this one has a cord attached for easy removal.  Once inserted, the vibrator is operated via its single on/off button.  For extra-easy removal, put a drop or two of water-based lube on the bullet before inserting it into Leo.

Because the vibrator is removable, cleaning Leo is fantastically easy.  The vibe will need a quick rinse off if you put lube on it, but that’s it.  If washing Leo with soap and water, you don’t even need to take the bullet out.  However, if you want to get Leo clean enough to share, you need to take the bullet out before either submerging him in boiling water for three minutes or running him through the dishwasher (top rack, no soap).  Be sure to use water-based lubes with Leo as some silicone-based lubes can react poorly with some silicone toys.  If you must, spot-test a little silicone-based lube on the bottom of Leo’s base before using it anywhere else.

First impressions:

Like other Vixen toys, Leo came in a clear plastic canister with a cap on each end, not entirely unlike a tennis ball canister that can be opened at either end.  This packaging is not only attractive and informative, with information about the company and about their silicone, but is also a useful way to store your new toy to keep it away from dust, lint, pet hair, etc.

When I had looked at Leo online, I hadn’t noticed that he is uncircumcised.  I prefer uncut cock, so this made me very happy and I instantly fell in love with him.

The cord on the bullet vibe is a very nice touch.  One of my other favorite dildos, the Tantus Rascal 02, also has a hole for bullet vibes, but even with some lube they only way I can ever get them back out is with pliers.  Luckily for me, the bullet that came with the Leo can go in any toy that takes a bullet vibe.  Hooray!

Vixen silicone is softer than other silicone toys I’ve used in the past.  It is softer than most of the Tantus and Fun Factory silicone toys that I own despite Leo’s girth.  The girth is enough to make sure that its flexibility doesn’t wobble over into floppy territory.

Actual use:

Oh Leo.  You break my heart.

I don’t quite know what it is.  When I poke the ridges around Leo’s head, they feel quite soft and pliable.  But when I actually put them in my vagina, they feel hard and poke-y.  The girth is great, but I feel just a little too aware of Leo’s texturing.  It’s not so bad as long as the head stays at least an inch or two in at all times, but I feel like I need to be careful and can’t thrust as hard or fast as I’d like.

Leo is longer than I can actually take.  My vagina seems to be about an inch shorter than he is.  It’s fine, but again I need to be careful with the thrusting or he bumps into my precious organs.

So, I can’t thrust too shallow, and I can’t thrust too deep.  Having to be this careful means I haven’t liked entrusting him to a partner, as they can’t feel what’s going on in my vagina.

I had trouble feeling the vibrations as they are concentrated in the base, and Leo was too long for the base to get anywhere near my vagina.  However, I am really glad that I now have a bullet with a retrieval cord to use in other dildos.

The bottom line:

Leo was set up to be my new best friend, but so far has been a disappointment.  For those who know that they either like or at least aren’t bothered by texture, the Leo may be damned near perfect.  But for me he was a little too much.  Perhaps with time he and I will be able to reconcile our differences, but until then… there are other dildos in the sea.

Thank you, PinkCherry.com, for sending me Leo!

I don’t think I’ve seen this ivory color of Leo. I’m enthralled by the glittery one, but this one with iridescence…mmm, that’s tempting as well. I’m sorry it didn’t work out so well for you. Good review of it! I love the pictures :)
