fucking awesome

I love Tantus silicone.  I feel like it has the right balance between squishy and firm, making it really comfortable but easy to use at the same time– their toys are never overly floppy.  I wanted to put one of their smallest to the test, so Maturitoy provided me with the Tantus Compact for review.

What it is:

The Compact is one of Tantus’ smallest silicone dildos at only 5.25″ long and 1″ in diameter.  It’s got a nice, bulbous head that is sculpted in a semi-realistic fashion.  Below the head, however, there are three subtle ridges on one side.  At the bottom of the shaft, the Compact narrows slightly before flaring out into a thick, round base.

Like other pure silicone toys, the Compact can be cleaned in a number of different ways.  It can be washed with with soap and warm water, or disinfected with a 10% bleach solution or by being submerged in boiling water for 3 minutes.  The Compact can also be run through the dishwasher on the top rack as long as you don’t use soap.  Be sure to use a water-based lube with the Compact as silicone sometimes reacts poorly with silicone-based lubes.

First impressions:

The Compact came in standard Tantus packaging, which is see-through and has standard information about Tantus silicone printed on it.  I could see the Compact the moment I opened the shipping box, and I couldn’t help but say “awwwww!”  It is adorably small and pleasantly squishy.  It came out of the box completely odorless.

This toy is a little floppier than Tantus toys usually are, probably because of its small size.  If I hold the base flat against my palm, curl my fingers around, and quickly whip my wrist back and forth the Compact is flung from side to side.  This is amusing for about 30 seconds, so milk it for all it’s worth.  I did.  I whacked T with it.  He threatened to take it away from me

This dildo struck me as being a little small for vaginal use (though I know of another blogger who prefers smaller insertables, so it may be just right for some), but perfect for anal play.  I decided to put it to the test.

Actual use:

I was correct on both counts.  For vaginal insertion, the Compact was just too small.  My poor PC muscles just needed more to squeeze around.

For anal use, though… wow.  It’s small enough that it doesn’t require much warmup, but the ridges and head provide a lot of stimulation in such a tiny little package.  I used a good deal of my favorite water-based lube and let T take control of the Compact while I was tied up.  If you let your partner use a toy on you, especially anally, it is very important that you have excellent communication!  This was especially true for me, with my hands cuffed around the headboard and my ankles strapped to either end of my spreader bar.  I didn’t have to say a whole lot, though, as the squishiness and the flexibility of the Compact make it a fantastically comfortable toy.  Unlike my plugs, the Compact is made for thrusting.  Without lube, silicone is sticky, but when properly lubed up it is slick and glides in and out.

The bottom line:

The Tantus Compact is a wonderful little dildo (I’ve nicknamed mine “The Teeny Weeny”) and must-have for those who enjoy a bit of anal play.  It won’t satisfy the size queens out there, but for those who don’t like putting huge toys in their butts but still want a bit of texture and extra stimulation, the Compact is great!
